This course will develop your knowledge of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
Units may include:
- understand how to recognise that an individual’s behaviour has the potential to intensify
- understand legislation and support relevant to behaviour that challenges
- understand how to prepare to manage an incident of behaviour that challenges
- understand how to manage a situation when an individual is acting in a challenging manner
- understand own role in providing support following an incident of challenging behaviour.
Students are expected to have at least a Level 1 qualification in English, which will be assessed before starting this course.
This qualification is online only so you can study at your own pace, in your own workspace. This qualification includes 105 guided learning hours.
This is a distance learning course. Assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass.
After successfully completing this course, you could go on to study:
- Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
- Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support
- Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services.
