Enrolment for full time courses
We know it's summer and the beach is calling but it's essential you attend your appointment in person. You're a one-off and it will be time well spent!
In the meantime, here are some frequently asked questions so you know what to expect.
When will I be invited to enrol?
Invitations will be sent out in July.
What will I need to bring?
You must bring:
- Your enrolment invitation
- Any exam results or certificates you've already received. It's particularly important you bring proof of your maths and English results
- Formal ID which could be passport, driving licence, birth certificate or bank card
Some courses, like health and childcare, require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We will need to see additional documents for these, such as proof of current address (in an official letter no older than three months). You'll receive more details in a separate DBS letter if this applies to you.
Who will I meet?
You'll be introduced to tutors from your chosen course, as well as a member of our enrolment team, who will help you complete the final steps to becoming a student.
You'll also meet the Student Experience Team, who are mines of information on finance, careers advice, health and wellbeing, tutorials, safeguarding and enrichment activities. Our specialist SEND team will also be on hand if you need any additional support to help in your move to College.
How long will it take?
Because we know that everyone is different, with unique needs, please allow from 30 minutes to two hours. To get to know you best, all appointments take place face to face at your chosen College campus (unless otherwise specified).
Can I bring someone with me?
Of course! You're more than welcome to bring someone along for moral or practical support. To help keep numbers manageable during our busiest time of year though, we'd be really gratefully if you'd only bring one other person.
What happens if I can’t make it?
Don't worry. Just get in touch with our admissions team on 023 9238 3131 or email info@copc.ac.uk and we'll sort out an alternative date.
My friend doesn't know what do from September – can you help?
We surely can! Please ask them to contact us on 023 9238 3131 or email info@copc.ac.uk and our expert teams will find the right direction for them.
Can someone else attend on my behalf?
No, sorry! There's no-one quite like you so you must attend in person as you'll need to sign paperwork and have an ID photo taken.
When would I start my course?
Courses (including induction days) start week beginning 11 September. Woohoo!
